Themed Islands

The island concept of Floriande was a conscious urban planning choice: by commissioning different architectural firms for the individual islands, the municipality aimed to create a district that would not be a monotonous whole. The result is visible in the transition from one island to another. Driving through Floriande, one sees a different building style, a different design of public spaces, and a different atmosphere in each block.
