About Wageningen
Living in Wageningen means living in a city with a unique, international atmosphere, largely shaped by the world-renowned Wageningen University & Research. This ensures a young, dynamic population and a lively city center full of nice cafes, eateries, and specialty shops. You can easily do your daily groceries at one of the many supermarkets, and on Wednesdays and Saturdays, there is a lively market on the Marktplein.
Although Wageningen does not have its own train station, you can reach Ede-Wageningen station by bus in fifteen minutes, with direct connections to Utrecht and Arnhem. By car, you are quickly on the A12 or A50. Within the city, everything is perfectly accessible by bike; the campus, the center, and sports facilities are never far away.
You don't have to look far for relaxation. Walk through the beautiful floodplains along the Lower Rhine, explore the Veluwe forests that are practically in your backyard, or enjoy the tranquility in Arboretum Belmonte. Wageningen is ideal for students, young professionals, and families looking for a mix of urban amenities and direct access to nature.
