Student Room in Former School Building

This 25 m² student room is located on Schoolstraat in the Spijkerkwartier district of Arnhem, within the monumental building of the old Lorentz H.B.S. (Higher Citizen School).

Here, you can rent a room in a building dating back to 1904, full of character and visible history. The facade and interior still boast many original details and ornaments. Influences of Berlage, Rationalism, and Art Nouveau are still evident. A fun fact: H.A. Lorentz attended school here, as did M.C. Escher. The central staircase is even said to have been an inspiration for his work.
