About Maastricht
Living in Maastricht means experiencing an international ambiance right in the heart of the South Limburg landscape. The city exudes a Burgundian atmosphere that is unique in the Netherlands. Your daily life unfolds among historic facades, modern architecture in districts like Céramique, and the ever-present Meuse river. Everything is easily accessible here, whether you cycle, take the city bus, or drive. Via the A2, you can quickly leave the city, and the central station offers direct connections to the Randstad, as well as to Belgium and Germany.
You never have to go far for your groceries. In addition to the well-known supermarkets, you'll find a lively market on the Markt square every Wednesday and Friday. The city is bursting with shops, from large chains to small boutiques in the Stokstraatkwartier. Thanks to Maastricht University and various colleges, the city is young and vibrant. This is reflected in the enormous array of eateries, cafes, and cultural events. For relaxation, you can easily walk into the City Park or cycle up the Sint-Pietersberg for an amazing view. Living in Maastricht means the convenience of a city, with the tranquility of nature just around the corner.
